Agrisolar, agrivoltaics, whatever you want to call it, we're on board and leading the way.

Our experience in mobile grazing operations over the past 20+ years gives us the edge when it comes to vegetation management in solar arrays. Moving sheep to distant sites, caring for them while they are there, picking them up again and taking care of any touch up work to meet the needs of the site owner or manager--these are nothing new! We have the skills, sheep, associated equipment and above all the drive to succeed in sites from productive former hayfields to steep, rocky, formerly-forested sites. We currently have contracts with multiple firms and can provide vegetation management services across a 60-mile swath of north central and western Massachusetts, from I-495 to the Connecticut River Valley and further west into the Hilltowns. 

Going beyond grazing, we are diversified farmers focused on growing the potential for agrisolar crops of all kinds, from sheep to intensive vegetable production and everything in between. We are presently involved in three agrivoltaic projects in Northfield, MA, qualifying as "dual-use" under the Massachusetts SMART program. We will be raising both crops and livestock within these arrays, producing uniquely sustainable food for local and regional customers. We are looking for additional growth opportunities and welcome conversations about new projects and consulting services to help new arrays optimized for agrivoltaic O&M strategies while minimizing costs and risks.
